Technical Sales Executive – North East, UK

The Technical Sales Executive (TSE) will focus on developing new business within a defined territory while supporting existing customers to grow their Wetherby Laroc Group business through the stock & sale of both the ecorend and Wethertex brands. The TSE will develop new leads and projects by building relationships with new and existing merchants and smaller contractors. The TSE will provide product and technical advice to new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve defined sales targets for both the ecorend and Wethertex product ranges.
  • Manage, maintain, and grow the business of existing merchant accounts through regular contact.
  • Proactively research and develop sales opportunities.
  • Promote all products and systems to generate leads through:
  • Building Merchants
  • Decorating Merchants
  • Plastering & Rendering Contractors
  • Painting & Decorating Contractors
  • Manage all communications and lead pipelines through customer relationship management software (CRM)
  • Carry out site visits when required.
  • Attend trade events and exhibitions.
  • Ensure all customers have relevant POS, literature, and samples to develop their business.
  • Provide training to merchants and attend training days.
  • Action all leads, sales enquiries, and requests promptly
  • Maintain a current online diary and submit weekly journey plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Team on all lead-generation activity
  • Obtain and maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge.
  • Attend sales meetings to report on all activity and discuss business development and opportunities.
  • Act as an ambassador for the business, always acting in a professional manner.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years sales experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships with customers through excellent customer service.
  • Sales or business development skills with the ability to influence decisions and overcome objections.
  • Ability to present technical and product information with clarity to a wide range of audiences.
  • Good IT skills using a range of different packages.
  • Previous experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and flexibly, organising own workload to achieve defined targets and objectives.
  • Ability to function as part of a team & to support colleagues

The other main terms and conditions of your employment will be:

  • Mandatory Requirements: Full driving license.
  • Place of work – Field based.
  • Salary – Negotiable based on experience. Your monthly salary will be paid into your bank/ building society account on the 28th of each month.
  • Hours of work – 40 hours per week. 08.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday, with flexibility to cover weekends and additional hours as may be required to meet the demands and needs of the business & its customers.
  • Holiday entitlement – 20 days per year plus bank holidays, plus 1 extra day’s holiday for every year of service up to 26 days. The holiday year runs from 1st January – 31st December.
  • Company pension – Applicable following a probationary period at 3% of the annual salary.

Marketing Assistant

Wetherby Laroc Group is a successful and independent manufacturer of performance building products and systems. Established for over 45 years, we have supplied our innovative and market-leading products to the UK construction and renovation sector, as well as provide our private label manufacturing service, from our state-of-the-art facility in Dalton, North Yorkshire.

Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting for an experienced Marketing Assistant/Marketing Executive to join our Marketing Department. This position will work closely with our Head of Marketing and other departments to support the execution of the developed strategy over the full marketing mix. This position will be an active and important member of the team, with excellent development opportunities within the business for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Confidently support the marketing department in the development and execution of all print and digital marketing strategies, including but not limited to:
    • Website development
    • SEO
    • PPC
    • Content creation
    • Event/training collateral
    • Paid social media (Meta & LinkedIn)
    • Organic social (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok)
    • Email marketing campaigns
    • Advertising & PR
    • Print collateral & Merchandise
  • Work closely with our Graphic Designer for all ad-hoc and campaign, print and digital collateral requests, including copywriting and design requirements.
  • Assist in the management and organic social scheduling, including daily customer and registered contractor engagement. Conducting weekly analysis for development opportunities by channel.
  • Confidently monitor and analyse digital marketing campaigns (SEO, PPC, paid social, email marketing etc) for optimisation and development opportunities.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the marketing email database and confidently build campaigns, working with our Graphic Designer for targeted audiences.
  • Assist the marketing department by conducting customer, competitor, and sector analysis monthly, with opportunities for future growth.
  • Produce monthly marketing reports for all internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure continuous knowledge and necessary implementation of digital marketing channel updates, trends, and algorithm amendments.

Essential Experience/Knowledge

  • Experience and working knowledge of Meta Business Manager, Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Twitter for Business, YouTube Advertising, TikTok for Business, GA4, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager.
  • A minimum of 3+ working years of experience – either client or agency side.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, complex and results-driven projects.
  • CIM, Meta, and Google certifications would be an advantage.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to increase campaign performance.
  • Experience using SEMrush or similar software.
  • Experience using Adobe Suite or similar software.
  • Experience and working knowledge of WordPress.
  • Confident in working to deadlines and prioritising tasks.
  • Experience and working knowledge of SEO best practices and implementation.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
  • Excellent and professional internal and external communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive with a willingness and passion to develop and grow within the role and business.

Production Operative

Reporting to a production supervisor and working as part of a team using modern manufacturing systems.

  • Measuring, grading, and feeding batches of raw material & additives into the production line.
