Production Operative
Our production operatives are responsible for the accurate manufacture of powder-based, water-based and solvent-based performance building products including through-coloured renders, screeds, adhesives, mortars, exterior wall coatings & paints.
Key Responsibilities
- Batch manufacture of performance building products and renders from raw material through to final finished product
- Packaging, labelling and palletising finished goods
- Movement of raw materials and finished goods
- Equipment cleaning and work area housekeeping
- Accurate recording of manufacturing process to ensure quality and environmental standards are maintained
- Assist with stocktaking on a periodic basis
- Ensure testing of manufactured product is carried out in line with company Quality Assurance procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience in a similar manufacturing role is desirable but full training will be given
- Current fork lift truck licence preferred but we will support experienced FLT drivers to renew licences if required
- Punctual and reliable with a flexible approach to work
- Enthusiastic and conscientious with the ability to work quickly and accurately
Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm
Salary negotiable depending on experience
Warehouse Operative
As a member of our warehouse team you will assist in the day to day operations of our busy raw material and finished goods warehouse and distribution function. You will help co-ordinate the efficient receipt of goods in and the effective despatch of goods out while ensuring that all stock controls and processes are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively manage incoming deliveries of raw materials, product packaging and finished goods
- Ensure that all goods in and out are correctly recorded and stored appropriately
- Ensure that stock rotation controls are adhered to
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping
- Operate all machinery including fork lift trucks in a safe and professional manner
- Carry out daily inspections of all forklift trucks in line with current LOLER guidelines
- Ensure that all working practices are maintained in line with current health and safety regulations
- Assist with periodic stock checks
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Current fork lift truck licence preferred but we will support experienced FLT drivers to renew licences if required
- Warehousing and distribution experience is desirable but full training will be given
- Organised with good IT and numaracy skills
- Ability to work as part of a small but busy team
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines with confidence
